Self-assessment and the EU declaration of conformity

Take the preparation all the way to the declaration of conformity and CE marking.

The goal of the whole journey is demonstrable compliance: complete technical documentation, a completed conformity assessment, the EU declaration of conformity and the CE marking. For products in the default category, assessment takes the form of a self-assessment.

We guide you through the final stage. We compile and review the technical documentation, support the self-assessment and prepare the declaration of conformity. For products that require the involvement of a notified body, we guide you through the preparation so the assessment runs smoothly – the third-party conformity assessment itself is, however, carried out by a notified body, not by us.

Frequently asked questions

Do you perform the conformity assessment itself?
For self-assessment, we guide you through the whole procedure. Third-party conformity assessment is, however, carried out by an accredited notified body (CAB) – which we are not. We prepare you so everything goes smoothly with them.
How long must the technical documentation be kept?
CRA requires the technical documentation and declaration of conformity to be kept for a defined period after the product is placed on the market. We will discuss the specific period and content for your product.
